This two-day course offers focused, hands-on training in manual techniques specifically designed for the treatment of C-section scar tissue. Surgical scarring after a Caesarean section can cause both immediate and long-term issues, such as fibrosis and adhesions, leading to pelvic tightness, pain, and sensitivity. In some cases, these symptoms are associated with lower back and hip pain, bladder dysfunction, fertility issues, and menstrual discomfort.

This specialist course led by Restore Therapy, a recognized provider in scar therapy education, is designed to equip practitioners with practical techniques for scar massage and mobilisation, abdominal release, and diaphragm release, aimed at alleviating the effects of C-section scarring.

Additionally, the course offers an exclusive bonus element tailored for SmartEducation participants: a brief, practical session on techniques for treating vaginal scars, such as those resulting from episiotomies or tearing.

With a strong foundation in the theory of scar tissue formation and healing stages, participants will gain essential insights and clinical tools that can be immediately applied in practice. Emphasis will also be placed on diaphragm release techniques to support healing and alleviate discomfort in the pelvic and abdominal regions.
